HOUSTON – A 19-year-old man faces charges stemming from two separate armed robberies in north Houston from back in November, deputies said.
Eddie Aldape, of Houston, is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, court documents state.
According to an affidavit from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, two female victims were walking home from the bus stop at 4425 Mooney Road on Nov. 20 when they were approached by a red Chevy Lumina.
The victims said Aldape then exited the car brandishing a silver handgun and demanded their belongings. He took an iPhone and a backpack with school books from the two females.
Later that day, a third female victim was targeted in the parking lot of the Kroger’s store located in the 5200 block of Aldine Mail Rail Road, the affidavit states. The victim was pushing a shopping cart back to the cart stall when she was approached by the same red Chevy Lumina.
Then, Aldape exited the vehicle and then pointed a handgun at her neck, the affidavit states. He demanded that she hand over her purse, but she refused.
Aldape pushed the victim to the ground and was then able to wrestle away the purse away from her, the affidavit states.
Juan Aguilar, a charged co-defendant in the case, told investigators that Aldape was involved in the aggravated robberies. The victims were then able to positively identify him from a photo array.
Aldape remains in custody with bail set at $30,000.
