SPRING, Texas – One person is dead and three others were hospitalized after a large pickup truck plowed through a group of people outside a popular night spot in north Harris County early Saturday, deputies said.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened just before 2:30 a.m. at Big Texas Dance Hall & Saloon, located in the 19900 block of Holzwarth Road near Meadow Wedge.

Investigators believe the driver of the black dually truck and the victims had been arguing earlier in the evening. One woman died at the scene, while three other victims were rushed to local hospitals.

A woman and a man were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital serious but stable condition, while another female victim was taken to Ben Taub Hospital in stable condition, deputies said.

All of the victims were in their early 20s, deputies said.

The truck fled the scene after the incident, investigators said. Authorities are still looking for the suspect, but have not released a description yet.
