HOUSTON—A driver was airlifted to the hospital Thursday night after he lost control and flipped his truck in northwest Harris County.

Harris County Sheriff’s deputies said the man was driving a Chevy HHR southbound on FM 1960 around 11:30 p.m. when he attempted to beat a yellow light near Champions Forest Drive. The driver was turning left on the street when he accidentally ran over a median, hit a large stone and flipped over.

The driver was conscious and responsive when he was airlifted to the hospital.
