HOUSTON—Deputies arrested a man late Monday who went berserk and stripped off his clothing in front of a northwest Harris County fire station shortly after he allegedly stabbed a dog.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office received a call about an out of control individual in front of a fire station in the 7700 block of Fallbrook around 11 p.m. The initial call said the man also had a dog with him, but when deputies arrived, the suspect was gone.
Deputies were talking to a witness when the suspect, Imrel Edwards, drove up, got out of his vehicle and began ripping off his clothes. Deputies immediately detained Edwards, then began to ask about the dog.
Deputies were directed to a home in the 9300 block of Goldenwood where they found the dog with multiple stab wounds.
Edwards was charged with animal cruelty.
It is not known, at this time, if the dog survived.
