HOUSTON – Harris County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a crash that sent six people to the hospital early Friday.
Police said a Ford Explorer was heading eastbound on FM 529 around 2:30 a.m. when the driver attempted to make a left turn on Ridgeberry and turned in front of a Honda Accord heading westbound.
The Accord t-boned the Explorer. Three occupants were in each vehicle and all were injured.
A passenger in the Explorer and a passenger in the Honda were both airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious, but stable condition.
The remaining occupants from both vehicles were transported by ground ambulance to the hospital in stable condition.
Alcohol may have been a factor.
“Both of the drivers admitted to drinking, so we are looking into the possibility of either one of them being intoxicated,” said Deputy Wilkie, Harris County Sherriff’s Office.
