HOUSTON—More than 400,000 people are expected to line the streets of downtown Houston Thanksgiving morning for the 60th annual H-E-B Holiday Parade. They will enjoy a Thanksgiving feast for the senses, featuring colorful floats, giant balloons, marching bands and more!
"Fame" star Naturi Naughton headlines a list of performers that includings singers, dancers and cheerleaders from around the nation. Channel 11's Deborah Duncan will also belt out a tune.
The theme for this year's parade is " Sixty Years of Dreams Come True."
Some 2 million people will watch the parade broadcast live on KHOU-TV, along with our sister stations in Dallas, San Antonio, Austin and several other cities. If you’re away from your TV, we will stream it live on khou.com.
The parade begins at 9 a.m. on Thursday, November 26. Tickets are free unless you want a reserved spot in front of Minute Maid Park or the TV Zone.
The parade route starts at Minute Maid Park and winds through 20 blocks before ending back at Rusk and Crawford.
Easy access parking is available along the route, including city lots and garages.
Street closures for the parade route and surrounding streets will begin around 7:30 a.m. Thanksgiving morning and end after the parade at 11 a.m.
