FRIENDSWOOD, Texas—A motorcyclist was dragged to death in Friendswood late Wednesday after sliding under a truck, according to police.
Friendswood police said a truck pulling a trailer was traveling eastbound on Prince George around 10:30 p.m. The truck had already crossed two lanes, but had stopped in the median before crossing the other two.
A motorcycle rider traveling southbound on Bay Area Blvd. was unable to avoid the truck and slid under the trailer, just as the truck was beginning to move.
The motorcyclist was dragged nearly 50 feet and died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet.
Police are investigating to see which driver was at fault.
