HOUSTON – Two Friendswood men have been arrested and charged with burglary of a vehicle, police said.
Police said they believe Zachary Paul Thornhill, 25, and Kristopher Andrew Long, 25, are responsible for a string of motor vehicle burglaries occurring overnight March 16 and March 17. Vehicles were targeted in the 600 block of W. Castle Harbour and 600 block of Timber View.
A witness who saw Thornhill breaking into a car was able to get the license plate number of the get-a-away vehicle and crack the case, police said.
Thornhill and Long are accused of targeting neighborhoods that were familiar to them and then hiding out at Thornhill’s father’s Seabrook home. Police said they may also be responsible for motor vehicle burglaries in Seabrook, Lakeview, Pearland and League City.
Police arrested Thornhill at his father’s Seabrook home at 11:20 a.m. on March 26. He was booked into the Galveston County jail with bond set at $1,500. Kristopher Long is wanted and may be living in his car, police said.
