HOUSTON—A popular Italian restaurant in Friendswood was destroyed in a three-alarm fire early Saturday morning.
Around 1:30 a.m., firefighters from Friendswood, League City and Webster all rushed to put out the flames at Pomodoro’s on Fife and Bay Area Boulevard.
Crews sprayed foam on the fire in order to get it under control and utility workers were on hand to assist with electricity.
Residents in a nearby apartment complex were ordered to leave as a precaution.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
