KEMAH, Texas — A marine rescue crew from Kemah pulled four people from a sinking fishing boat on Saturday.
About 11 a.m. , a distress call came in saying a boat had lost power and was taking on water, Kemah fire Chief Brent Hahn said.
"If our guys hadn’t gotten them, they would have been swimming," the chief said. "They were taking on significant water."
The vessel, a 17-foot bass boat, was about one mile out and was drifting toward shore, Hahn said.
