FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas—Officials in the City of Simonton are monitoring a log jam in the Brazos River.

It is located at FM 1093 in Fort Bend County.

Most log jams break up naturally, but officials say this one has been in existence for 5 months, and only keeps getting bigger.

Log jams can cause flooding, but city officials say there’s no cause for concern just yet.

They say they’ve been in touch with state officials to determine what should be done before it becomes a problem.
