HOUSTON –- An armed robber opened fire on a worker at a taco stand in north Houston, police said Wednesday night.
The shooting happened on Airline Drive at Memory Lane around 8:30 p.m., according to the Houston Police Department.
HPD said a man walked up to the Taco Pancho food stand and held the employees at gunpoint while demanding money. One of the workers apparently didn’t respond to the demands, and the gunman opened fire.
The suspect then ran away on foot.
Police said the worker was struck in his upper back and was sent to Ben Taub Hospital in stable condition.
