Mother, baby escape house fire in South Houston

CITY OF SOUTH HOUSTON, Texas – Firefighters were investigating a house fire in the City of South Houston that spread to a neighboring home.

The fire started at a house on the corner of Virginia at Palestine. It spread to the house next door where a mother, her 5-month-old daughter and brother-in-law managed to escape the flames.

Investigators were still trying to determine the cause of the blaze.
