HOUSTON – Houston firefighters battled a 2-alarm fire Friday afternoon in southwest Houston.
The incident happened at an apartment complex in the 6900 block of Bissonnet.
HFD was dispatched to the fire just after 3 p.m. Firefighters found heavy fire coming from the second floor of the apartment building. A second alarm was requested within 10 minutes. The main body of the fire was knocked down several minutes later at about 3:21 p.m., and the fire was brought under control at about 3:30 p.m.
There were no reported injuries and the cause of this fire was under investigation.
