HOUSTON - Investigators say a drunk driver is responsible for a crash that hurt a Houston firefighter late Saturday night in northwest Houston.
The crash happened at 10:30 p.m. along the State Highway 290 feeder road and 34th street. Police said the fire truck was heading to a call when a pickup, failed to yield the right of way and slammed into it.
A fire captain was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in stable condition. The driver of the pickup was arrested on DWI charges.
