HOUSTON -- Three people were sent to the hospital and a home was completely destroyed after a fire swept through a house in northwest Harris County.

Around midnight, the Klein Fire Department responded to a home located on Majestic Forest at River Mill and found heavy fire shooting through the roof. They made a fast attack, but eventually had to pull out and go on the defensive.
The fire was extinguished, but the home was a total loss.
One woman and two teenage girls were transported to Memorial Hospital in stable condition. They were treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation. One of the girls jumped from the second floor balcony to escape the flames.
A man was also home, but was not injured.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
