HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -- Investigators are looking for the person or persons who set fire to a north Harris County home early Tuesday morning.

The fire was reported around 2 a.m. at a home on Hillock Bluff Circle near Boulder Bluff, according to Aldine Fire & Rescue.

Firefighters found flames shooting from the rear of the two-story home. They made a fast attack and kept the fire from spreading.

The subsequent investigation revealed the fire was intentionally set at the back of the home, Harris County Fire Marshal's investigators said.

"While the case is still under investigation, we do know that no one was at the home at the time of the fire,” said HCFMO Lieutenant Gustavo Lopez.

No injuries were reported.

A woman at the scene told KHOU 11 News the home damaged in the fire belongs to her daughter. She said the woman and her three young kids hadn’t been staying in the home because she had recently been shot at during an attempted robbery.
