HOUSTON – Family members are doing whatever they can to hear from their loved one. It’s been almost five months and still no signs of 31-year-old Brandon Jon Louis.
“The unknowing, it’s been five months and I’m still at Day 1,” Stacey Hardy, Louis’ mother, said.
Hardy said her life is at a complete loss right now. Her son was last seen by his family on May 4 in Channelview. He was driving a friend’s maroon Ford F-350 dually.
“As a mother, if you step into my shoes, I go to bed every night thinking about my son. Is he still here with us? Where is he? His vehicle hasn’t been recovered. I have no idea where to start looking for him” Hardy said.
Prayers are the only thing she’s counting on right now.
“God somehow, some way all things really work together for good,” as members of the community were singing.
Louis’ family tried to hold it together while making a public outcry. They are offering $10,000 to anyone that will help lead to the return of Louis.
He is a big brother to Bryon and a mentor to many.
“He was big for advice and school. He pushed me to continue in school and not to give up. I’m a student at Texas A&M. I recently got my ring on Friday, and he wasn’t there to share with me and that was kind of hurtful,” Bryon Jean Louis, his brother, said.
Billboards and flyers are spread out in his neighborhood. The family just wants answers.
“If for some reason you’re out there and you can’t come home, just reach out to anyone to let us know you’re OK. We will be OK as long as you’re OK,” Hardy said.
“Cut it out and come home. That’s his words -- cut it out,” his brother said.
Family members will be holding a prayer vigil Saturday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. at Judson Memorial Park. They are asking anyone to come out and help find their loved one.
