HOUSTON – Two children, a Houston police officer and a woman were sent to the hospital after they crashed early Saturday in southwest Houston, police said.
According to the Houston Police Department, it happened at just before 12:30 a.m. in the 9000 block of Fondren.
Investigators said a woman was turning in her Ford Crown Victoria when she failed to yield to the officer. He was unable to avoid the crash and slammed into their vehicle.
After the collision, the Crown Victoria hit a brick column and metal fence, which then fell onto a parked car, police said.
No one was seriously injured and the woman did not appear to be intoxicated, police said.
