FBI searches for suspect in Amegy Bank robbery

HOUSTON – The FBI is searching for a male suspect in connection to a bank robbery from Wednesday morning in west Houston.

Agents with the FBI’s Bank Robbery Task said a man walked into the Amegy Bank located in the 800 block of Frostwood Drive at 9:55 a.m. and handed a note to a teller demanding cash.

He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area.

No one injured during the robbery.

Authorities said the suspect is described as a white male, approximately 40-50 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 145 pounds with a medium build. He was wearing a leather jacket, camouflage/hunter’s type shirt, jeans, a skull cap pulled down tightly over his ears and light-colored eyeglasses.

Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and arrest of this robber, or any felony suspect.
