HOUSTON -- The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force needs your help in identifying the robber who threatened a teller at a Wells Fargo Bank branch the Heights and made his getaway Wednesday afternoon during rush hour.
Officials say around 5 p.m., the robber walked in to the Wells Fargo Bank located at 235 West 20th Street in Houston.
He then walked up to the counter and handed a teller a threatening note demanding money, according to authorities. The teller gave the man some cash. He was last seen walking east on West 20th Street.
Witnesses told police they were not sure if the man was armed with a weapon.
Officials describe the robber as a white male in his sixties, 5’10” to 6’0”, 160 – 180 pounds with a thin to medium build and a pale complexion. He was unshaven with gray whiskers. He was last seen wearing a black baseball-style hat, a black work-style jacket and work boots.
Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000.00 for information leading to the charging and arrest of this suspect.
