HOUSTON—The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force and FBI Evidence Response are searching for two suspects that robbed an armored truck in southeast Houston on Saturday.
Authorities said an armored truck was making a stop at a check cashing store, located in the 6800 block of Monroe, around 8:45 a.m. when two suspects pulled up in a stolen truck.
The suspects confronted the guards and opened fire, hitting one of the guards. A pedestrian was also hit with splinters from a fired bullet.
The suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. The stolen truck was found later at a nearby apartment complex.
The guard was treated at a local hospital for injuries, but was able to return to the scene to help investigators. The pedestrian was also treated and released.
