PASADENA, Texas -- An explosion ripped through a refinery in Pasadena Saturday night.
Authorities said it happened at the Pasadena Refining System Inc. plant, located in the 100 block of Red Bluff, around 7:15 p.m.
A shelter-in-place was originally ordered for residents north of Southport to Highway 225, but the order was lifted around 8:15 p.m.
One person was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the explosion was unknown.
