HOUSTON—Former astronaut Lisa Nowak’s military career is officially over.
Nowak was given an "other than honorable discharge" and demoted from captain to commander, which will affect her pension.
She testified at a naval hearing and apologized for her actions, but the Navy board voted to remove her from service.
Nowak made headlines in 2007 when she drove from Houston to Orlando to confront a romantic rival.
