HOUSTON—Crews were searching the Brazos River Tuesday for a missing boater.
It happened after two 32-year-old men from Lake Jackson went fishing around midnight, according to investigators. Both men were ejected around 4:30 a.m. after the boat struck a pillar of the bridge on F.M. 2004, which goes over the Brazos River.
One man swam to shore and was located under the bridge just after 6 a.m. by a deputy making normal rounds. The other man did not resurface.
Equusearch was assisting with the search effort.
