HOUSTON -- It was an eerie, dreary sight in downtown Houston this morning. Fogs and low-lying clouds blanketed the city, but the sun came out and bright skies did emerge. Enjoy the sunshine while you can because rain may be on the way to Metro-Houston.

“There will be a break in the weather pattern after going without rain for almost a week,” said 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez. “A low pressure center is going to produce a lot of cloud cover and pull in a lot of moisture from the Gulf. That, coupled with an approaching frontal boundary, could be enough to produce some showers on Sunday.”

Temperatures today began in the 40s and are expected to warm up to a nice 80 degrees.
That trend will alter slightly, and added moisture may get us a little wet.

Temperatures will range between the low 50s and upper 70s over the next few days, with chances for showers on Sunday and Monday.
