HOUSTON – Nearly a dozen employees at an industrial company in northeast Harris County were evacuated from their building Wednesday night after a piece of heavy equipment caught fire.

The Aldine Fire Department responded to the call on Goodnight Trl at Wayforest around 10:45 p.m. and found heavy smoke coming from the warehouse.

They made entry and found a very large industrial fabricating machine that makes “Magnesium Balls” for the oil industry heavily on fire. No chemicals were involved, which made it easier for firefighters to extinguish the flames.

No one was injured.
