HOUSTON -- An upset driver took an officer’s ticketbook and locked herself inside her stopped SUV on the East Freeway, police said Thursday.

The incident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. near the exit for Jensen.

After she was pulled over, police say she admitted she had a gun in the car and didn't have a CHL.

According to HPD, the woman apparently didn't like the way the officer spoke to her, so she grabbed his ticket book and locked her car doors.

Freeway cameras from Houston TranStar showed several police cars on the scene, blocking a westbound mainlane.

Tow trucks were called in as the standoff continued.

Police say the DA's office refused to accept charges against the woman, so they wrote her a ticket and let her go.
