CYPRESS, Texas -– A driver was sent to the hospital by Life Flight after he flipped his car on Highway 99 in northwest Harris County early Friday morning.

The crash happened near House Hahl Road around 2:10 a.m., according to deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the man, 34, struck the barrels at the end of a concrete barrier. His vehicle flipped and slid down the highway upside down.

He was seriously injured and was airlifted to the hospital in stable condition.

Deputies said it wasn’t clear what caused the man to lose control of his vehicle.
