Driver pinned for 30 minutes after Cadillac, truck collide

HOUSTON – It took firefighters nearly 30 minutes to rescue a man who was pinned behind the wheel of his Cadillac after a late night crash in southwest Houston.

The crash happened around 11:45 p.m. on W. Fuqua Street at Goldfarb, according to the Houston Police Department.

Police said a pickup truck was traveling east on W. Fuqua when the Cadillac slammed into the back of it at a high rate of speed. The collision was so severe it caused the truck to flip over.

The Cadillac’s driver was sent to the hospital in serious but stable condition. The truck driver was sent to the hospital in stable condition.

Police said they would investigate to see why the Cadillac hit the truck.
