HOUSTON – A driver may have been suffering from a medical issue when he crashed into two homes in northwest Harris County Thursday night.

A man was driving an SUV southbound on Plantation Point around 7:20 p.m. when he lost control of his vehicle. The SUV went through a yard, knocked down small trees, crossed Little Pine and ran into the garage of one house and the front door of a neighboring home.

The impact was so severe, it knocked down the entire front roof and walls of the garage area of the house.

Deputies said a mother and daughter had just walked into the main house from the garage area, just seconds before the crash. They were very lucky.

Deputies said the driver was not intoxicated and believe he may have had a seizure or a stroke. He was transported to the hospital to be checked out.
