BAYTOWN ,Texas -- A driver slammed into a concrete wall along the East Freeway in Baytown early Thursday morning, killing him, police said.

The crash happened around 2 a.m. on Crosby Cedar Bayou Road. The Baytown Police Department responded and found a wrecked Chevrolet Camaro burning.

It appeared the northbound driver failed to notice the end of the road and slammed head-on into a concrete wall at the freeway. The car burst in the flames, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
