HOUSTON – A driver is in stable condition after a two-vehicle accident Saturday night in west Houston, police said.
HPD said that at about 9:30 p.m. a pickup stopped at a red light on the feeder road on the Katy Freeway near Chimney Rock was rear-ended by a sports utility vehicle after it failed to stop.
The Houston Fire Department had to cut the door off the driver’s side of the SUV to rescue the driver. The driver was then transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
HPD said that they do not believe that alcohol was a factor in the accident.
