HOUSTON – Firefighters responded to an auto accident involving a pickup and a SUV early Sunday morning in southeast Houston.

The Houston Fire Department said they responded to the accident at 3 a.m. and found the pickup on its side at the intersection of Almeda Genoa and Clearwood Street. The truck and a SUV were involved in a “T-bone” wreck at the intersection.

Responders had to cut the driver of the truck out of the vehicle, but he only suffered minor lacerations and was conscious as firefighters freed him.

Both he and the driver of the SUV were transported to a local hospital.
