HARRIS COUNTY, Texas –- An investigation is underway after a deputy struck a teen who was skateboarding in northwest Harris County overnight.
The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday along Veterans Memorial Drive near Kelly Lane.
Deputies said an 18-year-old man was riding his skateboard in the middle of the road when the deputy came along and made a glancing blow off the teen’s left side.
The teen complained of pain in his arm and was taken to the hospital to checked out.
The northbound lanes of Veterans Memorial were closed for about an hour during the investigation.
