Deputies bust suspects allegedly caught stripping stolen car in north Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Deputies said two men accused in a carjacking are in custody after they were later caught stripping the car outside a north Harris County home.

It was shortly before midnight Sunday when two men sitting in a Chrysler 300 were carjacked in a parking lot on the North Freeway near West Road. One of the men had his two-year-old in the car, but no injuries were reported.

The gunmen who stole the car fled before deputies arrived.

Deputies were later called to a home Wildbrook Drive near Silver Oak Lane after reports of suspicious activity. They said they found two suspects taking parts off the stolen Chrysler.

One of the men was taken into custody while the other one ran. He too was arrested after a short search.
