HOUSTON—Three suspects were arrested early Monday in connection with a string of armed robberies at several CVS pharmacies across Houston, according to deputies.
The suspects began the alleged robbery spree at 1:40 a.m.
Deputies said the masked suspects, armed with a rifle and a pistol, demanded money and cigarettes from cashiers in at least four pharmacies located on Tomball Parkway, Little York at Highway 6, Louetta and Cypress Rose Hill at 290.
The suspects were captured shortly before 5 a.m. after officers spotted their getaway vehicle on FM 1960 and Jones Road.
Deputies retrieved items, including a television, DVD player and several cartons of cigarettes from the vehicle. Deputies later found a loaded rifle and handgun inside the car.
Authorities later identified the suspects as Kristopher Wade, Cody Terry and David Cruz.
Deputies said they believe the men targeted specific stores because they were open 24 hours.
All three suspects face four counts of aggravated robbery. Deputies said they were investigating whether they were linked to other robberies in the area.
