JACINTO CITY, Texas – A father is accused of not only trying to give his infant daughter beer, but also putting her special needs sister’s life in jeopardy by leaving them on the side of the road, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Mark Anthony Sierra, 19, was charged with endangering a child.
Sierra’s girlfriend, who is the mother of his two children, said the two of them got into an argument because he tried to feed their 9-month-old daughter beer at a party.
She said they left with their two daughters, the infant and a 2-year-old, and drove about a block away from the party. That is when Sierra allegedly pulled over and ordered his girlfriend and his daughters to get out of the car. He then drove off and left them stranded, according to court documents.
The 2-year-old has a trachea tube and uses a special medical device to help with drainage to prevent her from suffocating. The toddler is also only able to eat special formula, which can not be purchased in the store. Sierra, despite knowing this, drove off with his daughter’s medical device and food. This could have possibly put the little girl’s life in danger.
Sierra’s girlfriend said she called him several times to try and get him to return the items, but he refused to answer the phone.
Deputies also tried to call the dad, but were also unable to reach him. Authorities moved forward with pressing charges.
