DWI suspect arrested after passing out in Jack in the Box drive-through

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -– A man faces multiple charges after he passed out in the drive-through lane of a northwest Harris County Jack in the Box.

Deputies with the sheriff’s office said they were called to the restaurant on Jones Road at West Road around 3:40 a.m. Wednesday after a driver fell asleep behind the wheel of his pickup truck.

Deputies arrived and approached the suspect, who they said woke up and tried to speed away. Officials were able to get the man out of the truck, but he then allegedly put up a fight.

He was eventually taken into custody.

Deputies said the man now faces charges of driving while intoxicated and assault of a peace officer.
