HOUSTON -- Police said burglars broke into a Fiesta grocery store near the Eastex Freeway early Thursday to steal TVs, laptops, and cell phones.
It was around 3 a.m. when workers at the store on Jensen Drive heard glass breaking. The workers hid and called 911 while the crooks came in through the front of the store and stole electronics.
Officers with the Houston Police Department responded, but the suspects were already gone.
"The suspects had already made entry into the store, broken out several display cases and stole a lot of electronics," said HPD
Various tools used to break into the store, including a tire iron, were found outside.
Police hope surveillance video will lead detectives to those responsible for the crime.
