HOUSTON – Houston police responded to reports of a break-in at a James Coney Island restaurant on the southwest side early Thursday.

It was reported around 5 a.m. on Richmond Avenue at S. Shepherd Drive.

Police arrived to find the front glass door smashed, but the suspect responsible was already gone.

Police said it appeared the crook tried to steal flat screen TVs in the restaurant, but they were locked down to their mounts. The suspect fled the scene empty-handed.
