HOUSTON – There was a lot of love Saturday at the George R. Brown Convention Center during the this weekend’s Bridal Extravaganza.

Engaged couples participated in “Kiss Off” to win a luxury honeymoon. It took a lot of pucker power.

In the end, a Houston couple locked lips more than two hours, outlasting half a dozen other couples.

Alice Romero and Alfonso Gonzales are headed to Riviera Maya, Mexico.

“Working as a team, that’s a marriage. That’s why we were kissing. We’re a team,” Gonzales said.

“I was doing this because he’s tall, putting my hand right here, so I could have a resting post, but other than that, we were OK. I was starting to sweat a little bit though,” Romero said.

The winning couple said they had to stand still with no meal or bathroom breaks.
