CONROE, Texas – A Conroe ISD teacher has been arrested, accused of sexually assaulting a child, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
Harold Goodrum was arrested on Friday and faces two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
According to Conroe ISD Spokeswoman Lisa Meeks, the alleged offenses took place three years ago and at the time of the offense, the alleged victim was not, and currently is not, a Conroe ISD student.
Goodrum has been employed with the Conroe ISD since 2008 as a sixth grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. He worked at Cox intermediate.
Goodrum is currently on administrative leave, pending termination.
The Conroe ISD Police Department is working with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office on this investigation.
