HOUSTON—A Conoco building in west Houston was evacuated Wednesday morning because of a chemical leak.

Four people were taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals to be checked out.

It happened at the Wellness Center on the huge Conoco campus in the 600 block of N. Dairy Ashford.

The leak involved a mixture of chlorine and sodium bromide stored in a closet near the pool.

The Houston Fire Department also sent a HAZMAT unit to the scene.

Drivers are advised to avoid N. Dairy Ashford near N. Eldridge until the scene is clear.
