HOUSTON—Looks like we’re going to have some rain before we get back to those cool, dry, sunny days we’ve been enjoying.
11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said the Houston area probably won’t get wet Thursday, but the clouds are going to start rolling in.
It will still be mild, with highs in the mid-70s, but the air won’t be as dry as it has been.
"It’s going to be a little bit more humid Thursday, especially by the end of the day," Gomez said.
Come Friday, the showers will start.
Gomez put rain chances at 80 percent for Friday, and it’s going to be cold, too.
"Temperatures will struggle to get much above the 60s Friday because of clouds and showers in the area," Gomez said.
On Saturday, the skies are expected to clear out a bit, though Gomez said there will still be a 30-percent chance for rain and highs in the low- to mid-60s.
By Sunday, the rain will go away and highs will warm into the 70s.
