SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The last of eight members of a Texas family injured in a highway accident in upstate New York last month has been transferred to a hospital in his home state.

A relative of Kent and Jennifer Hodson of Clear Lake says their 13-year-old son Joshua arrived Tuesday in Houston aboard a flight from Syracuse, where he had been hospitalized since the July 14 crash on the Thruway near Herkimer.

State police say Jennifer Hodson lost control of her van after visiting relatives in the Syracuse area, causing it to crash and overturn several times. Her 67-year-old mother died in the crash and Hodson and her seven children ages 4 to 16 were injured.

Joshua and his 14-year-old sister Christina were the most seriously injured. She was released from the hospital last Thursday.
