LEAGUE CITY, Texas—Byron and Mary Wade want Clear Lake to get healthy so they’re doing something about it. Mary has been a Herbalife Independent Distributor since January of 1999 and Byron followed suit in March 2010.
Between the two of them, they have lost a total of 155 pounds (Byron 115 pounds and Mary 40 pounds). Their results and the passion they share for Herbalife products prompted them to give back by opening their own Nutrition Club in League City. In December of 2011, they opened Space City Nutrition, named as a tribute to the Space program’s history in the Clear Lake area.
Byron and Mary run Space City Nutrition in addition to holding full-time jobs. The hours are long and the days are full, but the reward of helping people reach their goals is a strong motivational factor for both of them.
As the club has grown, they have now expanded their services to include fitness programs. Space City Nutrition hosts twice a week a work-out Boot Camps, which are free to the public. So far around 30 people meet twice a week at Walter Hall park in League City on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. They have also added a Zumba Fitness class that meets every Thursday night at 7 p.m. and Saturday mornings at 8:30 a.m. Classes are $5 and are lead by their certified Zumba instructor Jenny DuVerney. Jenny joined the Space City Nutrition team as a Herbalife Independent Distributor, helping her Zumba Fitness clients to get maximum results with Nutrition and Fitness.
Byron said their mission is a simple one.
“At Space City Nutrition our mission is to change people’s lives by providing the best nutrition and weight management education and products in the world,” Byron said. “We are a nutrition and wellness center. We are dedicated to helping people get and stay healthy. As a nutrition and weight-management club we provide products like healthy shakes, energy and fitness supplements, targeted nutrition, and skin and hair care products.”
