Cinco Ranch house fire sends plume of smoke over Fort Bend County

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas –- A house fire in Cinco Ranch sent a large plume of smoke over Fort Bend County on Friday morning.

Fort Bend County authorities said the fire was reported shortly before 8 a.m. in the 10400 block of Pebble Creek Crossing.

Firefighters from Fulshear were called in to assist in putting out the blaze.

No injuries were reported, but at least one home was heavily damaged.

Deputies blocked off nearby roads during the firefight, which appeared to be under control about an hour later.
