HOUSTON – There are still no answers in the mysterious death of a Macarthur High School student hours after her prom.
The medical examiner said Monday he was unable to determine what killed Jacqueline Gomez. The 17-year-old was found dead in a hotel room in May, along with alcohol and painkillers.
Her mother had told her to come home after the prom, but investigators said her date’s mother booked the couple a room at Hyatt North Houston.
The date told police when he woke up Gomez was dead.
No one has been charged in the case.
