RICHMOND, Texas—Fort Bend County deputies are searching for a pair of young car burglars who are creeping around the neighborhood when residents are sleeping.
Surveillance video shows the teens going from one car to another in a Richmond neighborhood. At least two cars were burglarized in the Long Meadow Farms subdivision on Amber Crossing drive.
"They are going to cars that are in driveways, trying to see if they’re unlocked. If they are, then they can victimize" said Danielle, a victim.
The thieves stole Danielle’s wallet and some other items from their car.
Danielle, who didn’t want to use her last name, said she and her family moved to Richmond to get away from big city crime.
"We’ve been here eight years almost," the mother of four said. "We did move here to move away from the city to live in the suburbs."
Both teens are slender. One was wearing a light-colored hoodie, camouflage shorts and dark sneakers. The second teen was wearing a beanie type hat and glasses. At least one of them had a backpack.
Danielle is afraid her son will come in contact with the suspects.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to the suspects.
